Come on down to the Uniontown Community Building on highway 195 16 miles south of Pullman to experience the 63rd annual Sausage Feed Sunday, March 6 from 10 am to 5 pm. This event was voted “The Best Sausage Feed in the Region” in 2012. It is an all-you-can-eat meal where you can dine in on a first come, first served basis or get your dinners to go with no wait. The menu includes homemade sausage from a secret recipe, sauerkraut, mashed potatoes, green beans, roll, applesauce, pie and beverages. Tickets are available at the door: adults - $12; ages 6 to 12 - $8; under 6 - $2. The “4 Names in a Hat” barbershop quartet will entertain diners and those who wait with their harmonies. Proceeds from the Sausage Feed go to maintain the Community Building. In recent years new heating systems and new hot water heaters have been installed.
While you are in town on March 6, drop in to Town Hall between 11 am and 2 pm and see the new library transformed from the former fire garage. Artisans at the Dahmen Barn has a “Ghost Signs” photography exhibit on display and is having a meet-the-author event from 12 to 3 featuring “Images of Clarkston, Washington”. The Uniontown antique shops will be open and you can taste wine from locally grown classic grapes at Wawawai Canyon Winery between 10 am and 6 pm.
